Bienvenida

Durante la semana del 23 de julio al 1 de agosto de 1999, la capital de la nación, el Districto de Columbia estará celebrando el 29^th Festival Latinoamericano, y al tiempo que iniciamos estas importantes celebraciones, debemos reconocer que nuestro Festival Latinoamericano es una reafirmación de los logros de la comunidad latinoamericana, la cual ha contribuido en el crecimiento y desarrollo económico de esta ciudad. Este Festival Latinoamericano ha brindado la gran oportunidad a todos los residentes del Districto de Columbia de vivir y celebrar la hermosa variedad de las influencias latinoamericanas, la cual ha enriquecido la cultura de nuestra ciudad capital. El diverso alcance cultura y étnico de esta nación ha servido para distinguirnos de todas las demás naciones alrededor del mundo.

Bienvenidos a nuestra mayor fiesta in la ciudad capital. Pónganse su zapatos de bailar y pareparense para la fiesta, sábado 31 de julio y domingo 1 de agosto de 1999, la cita es en la avenida Pennsylvania (entre las calles 9 y 14)… Nos vemos todos en la avenida Pennsylvania.

Welcome

On July 23^rd, 1999 through August 1^st, 1999, the District of Columbia will celebrate the twenty-nine Latin American Festival, and as we begin this celebration, we should recognize that the Latin American Festival is a reaffirmation of the success of the Latin American community, which has contributed to the growth and economic development of this city. This twenty-nine Latin American Festival gives all residents of the District of Columbia the great opportunity to experience and celebrate the wonderful variety of Latin American influences, which help to makeup the rich cultural fabric of our nation's capital. The reach cultural and ethnic diversity of this nation has served to distinguish it and its people from other nations around the world.

Welcome to our biggest event in the nation's capital. Put on your dancing shoes and get ready to party, Saturday, July 31^st and August 1^st, 1999 on Pennsylvania Avenue (between 9^th and 14^th Streets)… See you all in Pennsylvania Avenue!
